Aaron Reimann
web developer (and I guess technical lead, if titles impress)
About me:
My background is over the place. I built my first computer at age 12. I started my first job as a 3D animator in high school and with that same company, designed my first website at 19 in ‘96. As I saw the need I learned Flash in ‘99, and started tinkering with PHP (my strongest programming language) in 2002.
I accepted a position at West Ridge Church as the sysadmin in ’03. I set up and maintaining Windows servers (Exchange, Active Directory, File sharing, etc), Linux servers (web, file share and a firewall) while also developing a few small web apps to fill a gap in software. At West Ridge I met Adam, my business partner, who was also developing web sites. In 2008 I branched out on my own to start my own business to do full time web development. Adam and I starting working together with projects that same year. After a year we decided it would be beneficial to combine our skills and formed Sideways8.
Things I like:
Linux, OSX (cuz it’s Unix-ish), Haiku OS (open-source remake of BeOS), MVC (Model-View-Controller), CakePHP and CodeIgniter.
Things I need more time for:
Ruby (programming language), Tribes II & Tribe Ascend (games)
